The program will open with César Franck's Sonata in A major originally written for Violin and Piano. The four-movement sonata is a masterpiece of Romantic chamber music, filled with lush melodies and intricate harmonies. Dedicatee of the piece, Eugene Ysaye, who himself often performed this piece, told the audience he played it "con amore" as this was a wedding gift.

Next, the duo will perform the best-known work by American composer, Eldin Burton, Sonatina for flute and piano. It is a charming and playful work that showcases the virtuosity of both performers. The three movements of the Sonatina vary in character and mood, ranging from the light and breezy Allegretto grazioso to the lively and rhythmic Allegro giocoso quasi fandango.

The concert will also feature Cecile Chaminade's Flute Concertino in D Major, Op. 107, a beloved work in the flute repertoire that highlights the instrument's agility and expressiveness. Chaminade was a trailblazing composer and performer in a male-dominated field, and her Concertino is a testament to her talent and vision.

The highlight of the concert will be Eunike Tanzil's Hues of Spring, a brand-new, extremely virtuosic work commissioned by the LunART Festival, premiered by Iva and Satoko in 2022. Tanzil, a rising star in the contemporary classical world, also incorporates jazz musical language. She draws inspiration from nature and the changing seasons, creating a colorful and evocative musical landscape.
